Wondering what to get the Craft Beer Lover on your list? Something that they'll actually want and use?
Here's our list of 10 Best Beer Gifts of 2021. There's a lot of Beer Gift Lists out there, but great gifting doesn't have to be kitchy. Our list is simple, yet thoughtful so pay attention to their beer talk and cues.
1. BEER!
This might come to a surprise to some, but good ole beer is a great gift! Even better would be a beer basket of their favorites, seasonal or limited releases. If you're not in the know of what they like or limited releases, I'm sure their partner and/or buddy they go to breweries with will have plenty of suggestions.

3. Beer Kit
Maybe that special someone dabbles in Home Brewing, make a visit to your local Home Brewing store like Northern Brewer in Minnesota and ask the associate what their best new recipe kit is. If they don't have their own equipment and have never brewed before, schedule a class. Vine Park Brewing in St. Paul and Northern Brewer have their own Beer Making Classes, we think experiences are the best gifts.
4. Beer Book
An essential to those wanting to increase their beer acumen. There are so many types of beer books, like the Complete Beer Course, Mastering Homebrew and Barrel Aged Stout and Selling Out. We own all of these and would recommend, but there are plenty of books and reviews to help you decide on the best book for your craft beer snob. (I can say snob, because we're are snobs too).
5. Proper Glassware
Like a Teku Glass or Tulip Glass. What happened to Pint Glass? Well it's been tested that certain glasses excentuate the flavors in certain types of beer. For example, a Teku glass would be great for the Sour and Lambic lover, where the Tulip glass is great for a variety of beers like Belgian ales and other malty, hoppy beers.
6. Beer Koozie
So your craft beer gift recipient isn't that into beer that they need a special glass for each classification? They are more of an 'out of the can' or 'bottle drinker'? Get them a koozie! I just discovered that there are other names for koozies like Coolie, Beer Huggie, Coldy Holdy...just imagine "hey man, toss me that Coldy-Holdy!" Our local favorites are from Sota Clothing.
7. Beer Passport
We've discovered so many great breweries with Beer Passports. Our favorite is Hop Passport & Craft Notes! They are loaded with BOGO beers from Breweries across your state!
8. Brewery Merch
Does your craft beer geek love a certain brewery, but owns no swag from them? Hook them up with some awesome gear. Last year, we went to Waikiki Brewing and Jake fell in love with the Jalepeno Mouth T-Shirt, but they didn't have his size. Even though they don't sell their merchandise online, I emailed them and got it shipped just in time for Christmas and they even threw in a few stickers...score!
9. Tickets to a Beer Fest
This might take some extra planning, but who doesn't love a good beer fest? Like I mentioned before, experiences are the best gifts in our book. Don't know when they're happening? Google search "Beer Festivals <your state> 2022. We love the Summer Beer Dabbler and on our wish list is All Pints North!
10. Weekend Brewery Trip
Did I mention that experiences are the best gifts? Plan a out of town weekend full of new breweries! Don't know where to go? If you have a Beer Passport, that's where I would start looking. If not, just do a quick Google search on breweries within the area and find a densely populated brewery city that they've never ventured to.
Great examples that we've traveled to are:
Duluth, MN
Rochester, MN /Decorah, IA
Moorhead, MN /Fargo, ND
Madison, WI
Well I hope your mind is spinning with lots of ideas! And if you're really looking to wow them, gift all 10!
Happy Gift Giving & Happy Holidays!
Cheers!
